Phoenix Serve

About

Welcome to Phoenix Serve, Elon's community engagement platform connected with Phoenix Connect!  This platform manages service hours and also connects students, staff, and faculty with our community partners in Alamance County and beyond.  You can utilize this platform to find service opportunities and validate your service hours for your Elon Experiences Transcript.  For more information about our platform, including answers to frequently asked questions, click here.

This platform is managed by the Kernodle Center for Civic Life located on the second floor of the Moseley Center in office 232).  We offer many opportunities to get involved in the local community throughout the academic year, many of which are offered through our student organization Elon Volunteers!.  You can learn more by visiting the Elon Volunteers! page.

Students
If you are looking to get involved in service at Elon, this platform will help you find available opportunities.  Click the Get Involved tab on the top right of the screen to learn more about current service opportunities.  If you are interested in a particular type of service opportunity or issue area (for example: animals, children, the environment, health, etc.) you can search for those within that tab.

To help you prepare to volunteer, please also consider reviewing our Volunteer Toolkit.

Student Organizations, Departments, and Programs
All student organizations have a page created on Phoenix Serve that is integrated with rosters on Phoenix Connect.  If you are not connected with a student organization, but would like a page for your department or program, contact Kyle Anderson at kanderson52@elon.edu.

Faculty Members
Utilize Phoenix Serve to manage your community-based learning or community-engaged class.  The platform provides useful tools for connecting with community partners, managing student reflections, for students to submit their service hours, and for you to manage student service hours and course outcomes.  Community-based learning classes are automatically integrated each semester.  The Kernodle Center staff will support you each semester that you teach an CBL course.

Community Partners
Contact Kyle Anderson in the Kernodle Center at kanderson52@elon.edu to create your own profile.  By having a profile, you can create volunteer opportunities that students will be able to view.  You can also utilize Phoenix Serve as a volunteer management platform for tracking and promoting opportunities to community volunteers.
