Kernodle Center for Civic Life Service Week

The Kernodle Center for Civic Life is organizing a week of service opportunities from 10/25 to 10/31!  Join us for one or as many events as you can.  Here is a list of our opportunities:

Monday, 10/25
Join us for a panel with Habitat for Humanity staff to learn more about their mission and affordable housing challenges and opportunities in Alamance County.

Tuesday, 10/26
Volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club from 3-5:30pm at a Halloween event for kids they support as part of their after-school program.  Transportation will be provided!  Spots are limited.

Habitat for Humanity Fundraiser Profit Share at Magerk's (138 West Lebanon Street, Elon)
Starting at 5pm (mention you want to contribute to Habitat for Humanity while getting dinner!)

Wednesday, 10/27
Donate blood during our fall Blood Drive in partnership with the American Red Cross.

-Select your desired appointment time.
-If you’ve given blood through the American Red Cross before, you can sign in to your account.  If not, select “create my account” and follow the steps to do so.

Thursday, 10/28
Stop by our table on the first floor of the Moseley Center near the Moseley kitchen and make dog treats from 12:45-1:45pm, which will be distributed to the Burlington Animal Shelter.

Friday, 10/29
Volunteer with Burlington Housing Authority's after-school program from 3-5:30pm at a Halloween event for kids they support as part of their after-school program.  Transportation will be provided!  Spots are limited.

Sunday, 10/31
Sign-up for our weekly shift at Loy Farm!  Produce harvested from Loy Farm is used in our cooking shifts on Tuesday evenings. These meals are delivered to Allied Churches to support local food insecure individuals and families.
