The experience level on the team ranges from those who have been riding their whole lives to those who just started riding when they joined the team. The team participates in IDA (Intercollegiate Dressage Association) shows, competing against four other schools. However, our riders are not required to compete. The team also participates in Elon Club Sports Events, fundraisers, and volunteer work to earn funds for the team and to have some fun!
There are horses available for members to take lessons on, therefore members do not need to have their own horse. If they do have their own horse, our coach is able to give lessons either at his farm or where the horse is stabled. There are also opportunities to lease horses, for the riders who express interest.
